It's gone again
Fleetingly evaporated
As quickly as it was found
Fleetingly gone
I hope, one day
It's found again
Found its way
Back to me

Unfolding

Watching unfold
Unsure and unable
To do anything
But observe
Hoping it's not
As it seems
Hoping but knowing
it likely is
Hoping that it's what
Is truly wanted
Always ready
To be.
Between two worlds, floating in the ether
One where you and those around us
See and know the real me, unmasked
The other where all is kept hidden
Locked away and unknown, true self
Hidden from them out of necessity
Surviving merely to provide a better life
To the one most important but realizing
More and more that it may not be enough
