The Dawn

Early morning cool before the heat of the day

Air heady with the scent of roses and honeysuckle

Dew like sprinkled pearls across the verdant grass

Coffee warm in my hand and warm as I sip with

Cinnamon and sweet from the heavy cream

Only thing missing from this heaven is you

The List

1. Be strong. You have reserves of strength that mere mortals would love to have. Use them and recharge them when and however necessary.
2. Smile. It not only looks gorgeous on you but makes my heart and stomach flutter and lights up a room.
3. Remember you're a Goddess. Airmeath on Earth, this is important and people need you.
4. I'm here. Even when I can't be, I am and this won't change unless you need it to.
5. You enhance the world. This world is a better place because you're in it. Even if people don't know you, your presence improves the world.
6. Your heart is huge. Your compassion is one of your greatest attributes and amazes me every day.
7. This one is the most important. Be you, always. The intelligent, caring, beautiful, funny, amazing, adventurous, strong, compassionate, loving person that has captivated me. You are so deserving of the love you're given and I hope you don't forget that.

Three AM and the night breeze is washing across my face

Cool and honeysuckle scented, it calls to mind those past

Incredible evenings with you and soft Carolina breezes

As the smile plays across my sleepy face, I know that

There will be more of these to come, hundreds if I get my way

Feelings for you so strong they almost seem an impossibility

And I love that they continue to grow, no cessation at all

And I revel that one day, soon, I'll get to hug you again

All right class, it's time for a maths lesson

Today we'll be learning about an equation

Its a very specific one that I love immensely

Divided by the surface area of an exposed

Knee and thigh and multiplied by my hand

Resting lightly and gently rubbing with

The side of my thumb and a few fingers

Now we take the cosine of a Freddie's concrete

And add it to your lovely laugh and we get

I could expound on your beauty and how it is

Incomparable, ethereal yet grounded in simplicity

A true vision when I see you smile, especially for me

But the most important part of you, of what you

Have brought to me, is your strength and more so

Empathy and compassion, the you that cares

So easily, so fully, so selflessly that you don't see

The you that finds the strength to carry on

And do the hard thing when it would be easier 

To just allow yourself to do what's easy in life

You've stood by my side and for that kindness

I could never repay you but I am proud of you

Might be how your afternoon went

Or even an adventure you're about 

To embark upon, likely a small errand

That moment, puts a smile across my face

Makes my heart leap to read it, my soul

To sing out with joyous abandon

Just to have that minute interaction

That moment in my day that shows me

That all is real and your feelings flourish
