Collision of unexpected events have led us
To this close proximity of words and looks
A meteor devastatingly crashing and leaving
Behind all of itself, embedded deeply, permanently
Into the earth, so now are we intertwined in
Our thoughts of each other and our desires
Sweet agony invading of the distance, circumstance,
And time that conspire to keep us apart, yet
We steadfastly hold and remain undaunted
From sharing the joy, the moments available to us
And confidants we have become, friends, connected
Knowing that each is more complete with what is
Than if it were to fall away into some unknown
Gone, irretrievable, and lost in some hidden space
So I cherish each microsecond on my clock ticking
