On the hard days it helps
To reflect on what has been
To replay the best memories
In my mind, the words said
The laughter shared, the smiles
But also the present that is
The friendship, new memories
To be made, help for each
So easily a different choice made
Yet the strength of the bond
We share, though changing
Adapting, is still intact
